I’m Abigail and I’m the girl to take on the city. Born and raised in San José but in a few days, I’ll be in LA at Azusa Pacific University. Before this, I have never blogged, but with this big change in my life and the New Year; I decided that I’d make this into one big adventure and I’d try to keep a log of it. With all the Nails, fails, and Fashion tales that happen along the way. I definitely consider myself as a contradiction but then again, so is the rest of the world. I love shopping so I am always broke. I’m the kind of girl who can name the top 5 trends of the season and at the same time get into the debate over harry potter (or really any book that I have read). I love vegging out online to Netflix or to the best web show (I think) in the WORLD-Lizzie Bennet diaries Don’t even get me started on Emma Approved. I’m also the person who will spend an obscene amount of time to look just right.
My inspiration often comes from the latest trends in the fashion world and whatever shiny or pretty thing comes my way; it must be something I can wear versatile. My friends call it “A-D-D:OOH SHINY”…LOL. My personal style is a mix, kind of like me! My style icons are Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Courtney Kerr. I really love taking more classic pieces and mixing them with modern finishes, giving me a different look that’s not crazy without being too “safe”. The best representation of my style would probably be my dream outfit:
1 Floppy Hats
I absolutely adore hats way more than I do beanies. These, in my opinion, just make everything so retro and glam; they instantly frame any face. More importantly these hats are good all year round.
2. White button down
I actually need a new one since my old one no longer fits but like I said I’m broke. Any who, I love these shirts because they are so easy to dress up in skirt and some heels or for a casual day of errand with sandals and shorts. Absolutely no Fashionista should be without a great white Button down.
3. Chiffon Wide Leg Pants
I love the way these look as they give you the height and drama of a maxi skirt and the ease of mobility of a pants. They instantly give that old school glam and charm of an old vintage, like Katherine Hepburn.
4. Jeffrey Campbell Lita Boots
I swear the day I actually own a pair of these in my closet is the day the world will see the weirdest maniacal grin on my face. Even the Cheshire cat’s toothy smile will look like a frown compared to the crazy mug on my face. I genuinely love heels, and to me, these are the pinnacle of shoes. But that is me and that is it for now…
And there you have it, you now know the girl that’s going to take on the city. I hope you follow me in my journey through this big crazy adventure one heel at a time. Feel free to comment if you have anymore questions that I didn’t answer and I hope you keep reading!
